A Message From Sales

Lead-Times Back to Pre-Coronavirus Levels
Joe Ryan, VP of Sales and Marketing at Precision Digital

Our supply chain has recovered, the backlog has been significantly reduced, and we are filling up the shelves again. There are currently no parts shortages holding up shipments and as of 11:30 this morning we had over 300 PD765 Trident meters on the shelf. See for yourself at www.predig.com/pd765. We expect within the next few weeks to have the shelves completely filled and shipping most orders from stock.

If you are not placing orders online through the Precision Digital webstore, now is a good time to start. When you place an order online, you are guaranteed to have the correct pricing, terms and discount structure so you know your order will be right. And best of all, most online orders go through the system without being touched by a human hand until they are packed and shipped!

News & Information

New Features on the ConsoliDator+
Since the introduction of the PD9000 ConsoliDator+ Multivariable Controller in the Fall of 2019, Precision Digital has continued to improve on it every step of the way by making considerable enhancements with the release of its latest firmware, hardware and software. The following are descriptions of the new features available:

Color Selection: This feature allows you to choose from 65 colors to customize the screens. Color can be selected for text (value), backgrounds, bargraphs, and alarm conditions for channels, totals, and timers.

Watch this short video of the New Color Features

Simulation Mode: Inputs, channels, timers, alarms, and totals can be simulated from the View menu or from a function key.*

Manual Control: The analog outputs and relays can be controlled manually with this feature from the View menu or from a function key.*

*Note: Simulation and manual control parameters are not saved on power down. Up to eight parameters can be simulated at one time. All analog outputs and relays can be controlled manually at the same time.

Live Calibration: Individual channels can be calibrated without affecting the factory calibration used for scaling.

Alarm Functions: Alarms have been enhanced to enable settings based on day & time (daily, weekly). A flashing red Alert! Message has been added for active alarms, if enabled in the setup. For simulated parameters and manual control outputs, a yellow Alert! message is displayed.

Ethernet Settings: Information has been added to the system menu and allows the user to set the IP address and other basic parameters.

Real Time Clock: The date & time is displayed on the top line of the Setup and View menus, and can be added to any screen. The date & time can also be the input to a channel.

Math Functions: More functions have been added including Filter, Control, and Rate of Change.

Unit Conversion: This is supported for channels, totals, timers, and any function using those parameters. We have also expanded the List of Engineering Units.

Internal Fan: Automatic temperature-controlled fan turns on if the inside temperature reaches 50°C and increases the speed as the temperature rises to 60°C.

Internal Heater: Automatic temperature-controlled heater located behind the LCD turns on at 0°C, delivering the minimum power. If the temperature drops below -10°C, the heater delivers its maximum power.

Unique Feet and Inches Displays

Don't want to read your tank level in decimal format? Would it be more convenient to read it the way you always have - in Feet and Inches? You can with Precision Digital's unique solutions that allow you to display level the way you want to see it - in a feet and inches format. These displays and controllers can accept 4-20 mA and Modbus inputs, and the most unique thing about them is, they can display the signal in convenient feet and inches designations. The meters can also display fractions of an inch in 8ths or 16ths, and some models even feature a bargraph indicator making it quick to reference the level in the tank.

Precision Digital offers many options for using the Light / Horn accessory on its line of meters and controllers. The use of the Light / Horn greatly enhances your alarm indication for almost any process application.

The Light / Horn comes in 3 configurations – choice of five single colors (red, green, yellow, blue, or white), a 3-layered light (red, yellow, and green), and a light that the user can change to any one of five colors (red, green, yellow, blue, or white).

The Light / Horn can be wired to flash (not available on PDA-LH5C) or stay steady on and the horn is rated at 85 dB.

The relays on Precision Digital meters and controllers like the ProVu, Helios, Trident, and ConsoliDator+ can be used to drive the light and horn during low and high level alarm conditions, and with separate relays, the light and horn can be controlled independently.

New and Improved Manuals for the Trident, ProVu, and ConsoliDator+
Multiple Pump Control with the ConsoliDator+

Precision Digital has released new and improved manuals for the Trident, ProVu, and ConsoliDator+. The manuals have been completely overhauled and expanded to present a more complete solution than just the meters and controllers themselves.

The new manuals are loaded with more pictures, wiring diagrams, and connections drawings to help you better understand how to use these products. In addition, a variety of accessories were added to give you options on expanding the capability of the meters and controllers. These accessories include light / horn options, calibrator & signal generators, external power supply, and more.
