Annunciators & Scanners

Annunciators & Scanners
Precision Digital’s annunciators and scanners feature alarm and monitoring capabilities for all of your process variables. Annunciators accept up to 8 signals from relays, float switches, digital outputs, and many other discrete (on/off) signal sources. Scanners can accept up to 8 analog inputs and switch between them to another devices such as a digital panel meter, controller, or PLC. One of the most common application for our scanners is bearing temperature monitoring and alarming. They can both be programmed for many common ISA alarm sequences including first out indication and provide alarm indication through front panel LEDs and a build in 85 dB horn. Custom printed message labels can be included with your order at no additional charge.

  • The Vigilante® II PD150 alarm annunciator provides alarming and monitoring capabilities for all of your level, pressure, flow, and other process switches. These alarm annunciators are available in two models; the PD154 has four (4) inputs and the PD158 has eight (8) inputs. Each model accepts inputs from relays, float switches, digital outputs, and many other discrete (on/off) devices. It can be field programmed for all common ISA alarm sequences including first out indication and provide alarm signaling through front panel LEDs and a built in 85 dB horn. It features a NEMA 4X front, 2 SPDT relays for alarm activated devices, wide operating temperature range, and sunlight viewable alarm indicators. Custom printed message labels can be included with your order at no additional charge.

They can be field programmed for all common ISA alarm sequences including first out indication and provide alarm signaling through front panel LEDs and a built in 85 dB horn. The silence, acknowledge, and reset functions can be operated without opening the housing by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass buttons. Custom printed message labels can be included with your order at no additional charge.

    Why you should buy:
  • The MINIMUX® II PD138 is a microprocessor-based, eight-channel analog input scanner/multiplexer and annunciator that provides low-cost automatic switching for multi-point display and alarm systems. It can automatically switch up to eight inputs to another device such as a digital panel meter, controller, or PLC. Signal switching is done via reed relays making the PD138 ideal for switching thermocouples, RTDs, control loops, and AC/DC signals. They feature rugged NEMA 4X/IP65 fronts and a wide operating temperature range. They can be programmed for many common ISA alarm sequences including first out indication and they provide alarm signaling through front panel LEDs and a build in 85 dB horn. Custom printed message labels can be included with your order at no additional charge.

    Why you should buy:
    • Scans Temperature and Analog Inputs
    • Channel Alarms
    • NEMA 4X/IP65 Front
  • The PDS178 Watchdog Temperature Scanning & Alarming System brings together a popular combination of Precision Digital products: the Trident meter, the Minimux II scanner, and the PDA2821 NEMA 4X enclosure. The scanner automatically switches between up to eight (8) input signals (4-20 ma, ±10 V, TC, or RTD) and sends them to the Trident meter for display. Signal switching is done via DPST reed relays. The Watchdog can be used in a variety of temperature and process monitoring applications. A very common application for this system is to monitor bearing temperatures. The Trident meter included with this system is available with standard 0.56" (14.2 mm) high LED digits or large 1.2" (30.5 mm) high LEDs.
