Batch Controller

Batch Controller
Precision Digital's batch control products include analog and pulse input controllers for single stage applications and multi-stage batching. Operation is quick and easy, right out of the box, with the START, BATCH, and STOP buttons pre-programmed for batch controlling. Preclose relays can be used to slow product flow for more accurate batch finish and automatic overrun correction keeps batch sizes accurate even over time and with system wear. For batching applications where accuracy is paramount, we offer NTEP Weights and Measures approved batch controller models. Batch controllers are available in NEMA 4X front digital panel meters as well as FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof meters for hazardous areas.

  • The Loop Leader+ loop-powered large display flow rate/totalizers can be installed virtually anywhere to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. One of the most convenient features of these instruments is their large, dual-line display which is typically used to display flow rate on the 2.8" 5-character alphanumeric top display and flow total, flow grand total, or a tag on the 1.5" 8-character alphanumeric bottom display. Both display lines use 14-segment, alphanumeric characters that provide much clearer indication of tags, units, or alarm messages than 7-segment characters do.

Further enhancing the display on these instruments is a 20-segment bargraph that also includes a numeric value of the percentage the bargraph represents. Free, PC-based, MeterView XL software that connects to the meter via a micro USB cable is available for programming and setup of the meters.

The PD4 is available in two configurations: Display only and with two solid-state relays and 4-20 mA analog output. All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and remote contacts. The open collector outputs are useful for alarm indication or pulse output. The remote contacts can be used to remotely operate the four programming buttons, to reset the total, to start/stop a timer/stopwatch, and more. The relays can be programmed for alarm indication, sample, timer, batch control, or stopwatch.

Finally, the PD4-6628 is an intrinsically safe version that can be installed in hazardous areas.

    Why you should buy:
    • 2.8" Dual-Line Backlit LCD Display
    • Loop-Powered
    • Display Rate & Total Simultaneously
    • Flashing Red Display / Message on Alarm
    • Free Programming Software
    • Discrete and Analog Output Options
  • The ProVu PD6210 is an 1/8 DIN analog input (4-20 mA, 0-5 V, 1-5 V, etc.) digital batch controller specifically designed for single and multi-stage batching applications. It provides excellent but simple batch control capabilities with features such as preclose relays and automatic overrun correction for more accurate batches and intuitive front panel buttons for simple operation and menu navigation. The preclose deactivates a specific relay on the batch controller before the batch is finished in order to allow slower fill rates and increased accuracy. Automatic overrun correction keeps the batch size accurate over time and with system wear. With expansion module relays, up to eight-stage batching is possible; each additional stage-batching relay has an individually programmable preclose amount. Like all ProVu meters, the PD6210 batcher includes UL / C-UL listing and CE marking, a NEMA 4X front, and AC or DC power options.

    Why you should buy:
    • Single or Multi-Stage Batching
    • Analog Input
