Process
Process meters are high precision instruments designed to measure, display, alarm, and control a wide range of process variables, such as 4-20 mA and 0-10 V analog inputs. Precision Digital’s process meters are available with relays, analog and open collector outputs, 24 V transmitter power supply, programmable function keys and advanced signal input conditioning, all of which greatly increase their functionality and utility. Many of these meters include sunlight-readable, dual-line LED displays, wide angle viewing, increased power efficiency, and digital serial communications. Process meters are available in NEMA 4X front digital panel meters as well as FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof and intrinsically safe meters for hazardous areas.

  • The Nova PD560 is a digital meter that accepts a wide variety of process and temperature inputs and is available in 1/8 and 1/4 DIN sizes. Its universal input accepts thermocouple, RTD, and voltage inputs, and it can be easily configured for a 4-20 mA input. It is available with up to three (3) relays, a 4-20 mA analog outputs, two (2) digital inputs, and an RS485 serial communication option which includes protocols for master/slave set point control, Modbus® ASCII and RTU, as well as PC software.

  • The PDS178 Watchdog Temperature Scanning & Alarming System brings together a popular combination of Precision Digital products: the Trident meter, the Minimux II scanner, and the PDA2821 NEMA 4X enclosure. The scanner automatically switches between up to eight (8) input signals (4-20 ma, ±10 V, TC, or RTD) and sends them to the Trident meter for display. Signal switching is done via DPST reed relays. The Watchdog can be used in a variety of temperature and process monitoring applications. A very common application for this system is to monitor bearing temperatures. The Trident meter included with this system is available with standard 0.56" (14.2 mm) high LED digits or large 1.2" (30.5 mm) high LEDs.
