The PD420/421 set point generators and the PD460/461 valve positioners provide a convenient way to generate a 4-20 mA signal that can be used to control another device. The PD420/421 set point generators can be programmed to display 0-100%, 4-20 mA or 3-21 mA and output either 4-20 mA or 3-21 mA. The PD4604/61 valve positioners are programmed to display a value of 0-100% relating to the 4-20 mA output. A built-in dial is provided to vary the displayed / output value. Both feature a backlight and are available in panel mount or NEMA 4X versions. He also discusses the key features and differences between the panel mount and NEMA 4X versions of these devices and shows other enclosure options.
