ProtEX-MAX products offer all the functionality of the ProVu, Trident X2, Super Snooper, or Vigilante II models as CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof products. They are available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). This functionality includes inputs such as thermocouples, RTDs, 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, strain gauge, and discrete signals and options such as relays, 4-20 mA outputs, serial communications, and 24 V transmitter power supplies. The meter can be programmed and operated without opening the housing and exposing the electronics to a hazardous environment by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass programming buttons or the RS-485 serial communication port with free Modbus protocol.

  • PD8-765 ProtEX-MAX Explosion-Proof Process and Temperature Meter

    The ProtEX-MAX PD8-765 explosion-proof, large-display, process and temperature meter offers all the functionality of the Trident X2 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). PD8-765's huge 1.2" (30.5 mm) sunlight readable display that is visible from over 30 feet away. This explosion-proof indicator can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5 V, 1-5 V, etc.) and current (4-20 mA) inputs, 100 Ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples. The intensity of the display can be adjusted to compensate for various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. The meter can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass buttons or the RS-485 serial communication port with free Modbus protocol. Options for the PD8-765 process and temperature indicator include 2 relays, a 4-20 mA output, and a 24 V transmitter power supply.

    The ProtEX-MAX PD8-7000 offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD7000 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). It accepts a direct temperature input from a wide range of temperature measurement devices (type J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, and C thermocouples and 100 or 1000 Ω platinum, 10 Ω copper, 120 Ω nickel RTDs). It displays the measured temperature in either degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius on a dual-line, 6-digit Sunbright sunlight readable display. The meter includes automatic cold junction compensation for thermocouples and the ability to average up to ten (10) RTD sensors. The PD8-7000 can be equipped with four internal relays and a 4-20 mA analog output. It can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass buttons or the RS-485 serial communication port with free Modbus protocol.
