Digital load cell meters are high precision instruments designed to measure weight, mass, force, or deflection when connected to a load cell. Load cell inputs include 0-30 mV, 0-200 mV, ±15 mV, and ±100 mV. With a max current of 350 mA at 10 V, they can support up to twelve (12) 350 Ω load cells (minimum load resistance of 28 Ω), making them ideal for multipoint weight measurement applications. Each meter includes a dual-scale feature that allows measurements to be displayed in two different units. Alternately, the second line can show a custom tag. Load cell meters are available in NEMA 4X front digital panel meters and FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof meters for hazardous areas. The explosion-proof models include SafeTouch® through-glass buttons for access to zero, tare, and other functions without the need to remove the enclosure cover.

  • The Loop Leader+ loop-powered large display meters can be installed virtually anywhere to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. One of the most convenient features of these instruments is their large, dual line display. The 2.8" 5-digit top display is used to display the process variable while the 1.5" 8-character alphanumeric bottom display can be used to display the units of measure or a tag. Feet and inches models display level in feet and inches on the top display while the 8-digit alphanumeric bottom line may be used to display a tag or custom message.

Further enhancing the display on these instruments is a 20-segment bargraph that also includes a numeric value of the percentage the bargraph represents. Free, PC-based, MeterView XL software that connects to the meter via a micro USB cable is available for programming and setup of the meters.

The PD4 is available in two configurations: Display only and with two solid-state relays and 4-20 mA analog output. All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and remote contacts. The open collector outputs are useful for alarm indication. The remote contacts can be used to remotely operate the four programming buttons, to acknowledge the relays, to start/stop a timer/stopwatch, and more. The relays can be programmed for alarm indication, on/off control, or pump alternation.

Finally, there are intrinsically safe versions of these instruments that can be installed in hazardous areas.

  • The ProtEX+ loop-powered explosion-proof & intrinsically safe meters can be installed virtually anywhere to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. They can operate down to -40°C and be installed in areas that get as cold as -55°C, however the display will cease functioning. One of the most convenient features is the dual-line display, typically used to display the process variable on the 5-character alphanumeric top display and the units of measure or tag on the 8-character alphanumeric bottom display. Feet and inches models display level in feet and inches on the top display while the 8-digit alphanumeric bottom line may be used to display a tag or custom message. The ProtEX+ Series is CSA Certified as Explosion-Proof / Dust-Ignition Proof / Flame-Proof and ATEX and IECEx Certified as Intrinsically Safe. Four CapTouch through-glass buttons are available to operate the instrument without removing the cover. Free, PC-based, MeterView XL software that connects to the meter via a micro USB cable is available for programming and setup of the meters.

All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and a digital input. There are also models available with two solid-state relays and isolated 4-20 mA analog output options.

  • The ProtEX-MAX PD8-6100 offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD6100 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). It accepts strain gauge & load cell inputs and mV signals up to 300 mV (unipolar) and ± 250 mV (bipolar) for weight and force measurement applications. With a max output current of 350 mA at 10 V, it can support up to twelve (12) 350 Ω load cells (minimum load resistance of 28 Ω), making them ideal for multipoint weight measurement applications. The PD8-6100 strain gauge meter’s dual-line display and powerful dual-scale capability allows the measurement to be displayed in two different units of measure. Another use for the PD6100’s dual-lines is to simply display the units of measure on the bottom line. CapTouch through-glass buttons allow for access to zero, tare, and other functions without the need to remove the enclosure cover. The PD8-6100 includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the sensors and can be equipped with four internal relays and two 4-20 mA outputs.
