Process
Process meters are high precision instruments designed to measure, display, alarm, and control a wide range of process variables, such as 4-20 mA and 0-10 V analog inputs. Precision Digital’s process meters are available with relays, analog and open collector outputs, 24 V transmitter power supply, programmable function keys and advanced signal input conditioning, all of which greatly increase their functionality and utility. Many of these meters include sunlight-readable, dual-line LED displays, wide angle viewing, increased power efficiency, and digital serial communications. Process meters are available in NEMA 4X front digital panel meters as well as FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof and intrinsically safe meters for hazardous areas.

  • The ProtEX FarVu PD6870 is an explosion-proof, loop-powered process meter with 1" display digits in a field-mountable enclosure designed for demanding applications in hazardous areas or in the harshest environmental conditions. The meter derives all of its power from the 4-20 mA loop with a small 1 V drop so there is no need to run additional, costly power lines into a hazardous area. Like all ProtEX products, the PD6870 loop-powered indicator carries FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals for use in hazardous areas. It is programmed using four easy-to-access, front-mounted control dials.

    Why you should buy:
  • The Vantageview PD6770 is a plastic, loop-powered process meter with 1" display digits in a field-mountable enclosure designed for demanding applications. The meter derives all of its power from the 4-20 mA loop with a small 1 V drop, so there is no need to run additional, costly power lines. The PD6770 is built in a NEMA 4X and IP65 rated plastic enclosure which can stand up to even the harshest environmental conditions. It is programmed using four easy-to-access, front-mounted control dials.

    Why you should buy:
    • NEMA 4X/IP65 Enclosure
    • Loop-Powered
    • Large Digits
    • Backlight Option
  • The ProtEX-MAX PD8-6060 offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD6060 as a fully FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof product. It accepts two inputs of either a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal. It displays these signals on a dual-line, 6-digit Sunbright® sunlight readable display. The meter can be customized such that these two inputs are displayed in a variety of ways, including both at the same time with tags or the result of math functions performed on one or both of the inputs. The PD8-6060 includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the transmitter and can be equipped with four internal relays and a 4-20 mA analog output. It can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in SafeTouch® through-glass buttons or the RS485 serial communication port with free Modbus® protocol.

    Why you should buy:
  • The PD6001 is a member of the ProVu series of 1/8 DIN digital panel meters specifically designed to display level in feet and inches, instead of the usual decimal format. The PD6001 accepts a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal and displays that signal on a dual line display with convenient feet and inches designations on the upper line. The upper display can even read fractions of an inch in 8ths or 16ths. The lower line can be used to indicate a tag or to display the input in another scale, such as volume in gallons or liters. Like all ProVu meters, the PD6001 includes UL / C-UL listing and CE marking, a NEMA 4X front, and AC or DC power options. ProVu meters can be equipped with up to four internal relays, a 4-20 mA output and Modbus® serial communications. The PD6001 includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the transmitter and can be programmed via the front panel pushbuttons or free MeterView® Pro software.

    Why you should buy:
  • The PD662 NEMA 4X, CSA Certified loop-powered meter is perfect
for applications where a simple, inexpensive display is required
and AC power is not available. The PD662 derives all its power
from the 4-20 mA loop, including its optional backlight feature. It
can be easily scaled in the field using four push buttons; with or
without applying an actual calibration signal. The PD662’s display
will read up to 2999; we call this 3½+ digits! The PD662 is housed
in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure and is provided with one ½" NPT
    pipe conduit hole.

    Why you should buy:
  • The MINIMUX® II PD138 is a microprocessor-based, eight-channel analog input scanner/multiplexer and annunciator that provides low-cost automatic switching for multi-point display and alarm systems. It can automatically switch up to eight inputs to another device such as a digital panel meter, controller, or PLC. Signal switching is done via reed relays making the PD138 ideal for switching thermocouples, RTDs, control loops, and AC/DC signals. They feature rugged NEMA 4X/IP65 fronts and a wide operating temperature range. They can be programmed for many common ISA alarm sequences including first out indication and they provide alarm signaling through front panel LEDs and a build in 85 dB horn. Custom printed message labels can be included with your order at no additional charge.

    Why you should buy:
    • Scans Temperature and Analog Inputs
    • Channel Alarms
    • NEMA 4X/IP65 Front
  • The ProVu PD6080 Super Snooper Modbus® scanner is a multi-purpose display and controller capable of scanning up to 16 Modbus process variables and accepts two analog process inputs. The scanner can be programmed as a Modbus RTU master, slave, or snooper. It is the ideal display for Modbus multivariable transmitters or for existing Modbus networks with transmitters in need of an easy-to-read and conveniently located remote display. As a master, the PD6080 can read up to 16 Modbus registers on up to 16 Modbus devices and automatically alternate each of these process variables (PVs) on the dual-line display along with a unit and tag for each. In snooper mode, the PD6080 can read any Modbus variable being polled by a master, which allows you to easily add a display into an existing Modbus network. Like all ProVu meters, the PD6080 includes UL / C-UL listing and CE marking, a NEMA 4X front, and AC or DC power options. Powerful math functions may be applied to the analog or Modbus inputs, such as addition, difference, average, and ratio.

    Why you should buy:
  • The ProVu PD6081 Super Snooper feet & inches Modbus® scanner displays level information on a specially designed feet & inches display, instead of the usual decimal format. It is the ideal display for Modbus level or multivariable transmitters and is capable of scanning up to 16 Modbus process variables. Its unique feet & inches upper LED display can indicate up to 99 feet, 11 and 15/16 inches. The 6-digit lower display can indicate units, tags, or other variables such as volume, temperature, or density. The PD6081 also has dual analog inputs, for integrating traditional 4-20 mA or voltage inputs in the display scanning. The PD6081 can be setup as a Modbus master, slave, or snooper. Why you should buy:
  • The PDS178 Watchdog Temperature Scanning & Alarming System brings together a popular combination of Precision Digital products: the Trident meter, the Minimux II scanner, and the PDA2821 NEMA 4X enclosure. The scanner automatically switches between up to eight (8) input signals (4-20 ma, ±10 V, TC, or RTD) and sends them to the Trident meter for display. Signal switching is done via DPST reed relays. The Watchdog can be used in a variety of temperature and process monitoring applications. A very common application for this system is to monitor bearing temperatures. The Trident meter included with this system is available with standard 0.56" (14.2 mm) high LED digits or large 1.2" (30.5 mm) high LEDs.
