Level is one of the most common applications for Precision Digital’s meters. Our most popular products can be used for level applications and we also have meters that are specifically intended for use in level systems. These digital panel meters and explosion-proof indicators communicate critical level information at eye-level to the operator, effectively increasing safety by eliminating the need for operators to climb the tanks. The level can also be controlled with the use of relays, open collector, or 4-20 mA analog outputs. Select products include specialized level features such as pump alternation control, unique feet & inches displays with clearly labeled units, and dual-scale level displays that show level in two units from a single transmitter signal.

  • PD6900-HA ProtEX+ Explosion-Proof & I.S. Loop-Powered Indicators

    The ProtEX+ loop-powered explosion-proof & intrinsically safe meters can be installed virtually anywhere to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. They can operate down to -40°C and be installed in areas that get as cold as -55°C, however the display will cease functioning. One of the most convenient features is the dual-line display, typically used to display the process variable on the 5-character alphanumeric top display and the units of measure or tag on the 8-character alphanumeric bottom display. Feet and inches models display level in feet and inches on the top display while the 8-digit alphanumeric bottom line may be used to display a tag or custom message. Further enhancing the display on these instruments is a 20-segment bargraph.

    The ProtEX+ carries all major approvals including:

    •  CSA Certified as Explosion-Proof / Dust Ignition-Proof / Flame-Proof

    Four CapTouch through-glass buttons are available to operate the instrument without removing the cover. Free, PC-based, MeterView XL software that connects to the meter via a micro USB cable is available for programming and setup of the meters.

    All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and a digital input. There are also models available with two solid-state relays and isolated 4-20 mA analog output options.

    The ProtEX-Lite carries all major approvals including:

    It is available in either an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure with ½" NPT or M20 threaded conduit openings. The PD663 is easy to install and program and the display can be seen in a variety of lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight. It will operate down to -40°C and is approved for installation in areas where the temperature gets as cold as -55°C, however the display will cease functioning.

    The ProtEX-MAX PD8-6000 explosion-proof process meter offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD6000 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). It accepts a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal and displays it on a dual-line, 6-digit Sunbright sunlight readable display. The meter includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the transmitter and can be equipped with four internal relays and a 4-20 mA output. The PD8-6000 can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass buttons or the RS-485 serial communication port with free Modbus protocol.

    The ProtEX-MAX PD8-765 explosion-proof, large-display, process and temperature meter offers all the functionality of the Trident X2 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). PD8-765's huge 1.2" (30.5 mm) sunlight readable display that is visible from over 30 feet away. This explosion-proof indicator can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5 V, 1-5 V, etc.) and current (4-20 mA) inputs, 100 Ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples. The intensity of the display can be adjusted to compensate for various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. It accepts two inputs of either a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal. It displays these signals on a dual-line, 6-digit Sunbright sunlight readable display. The meter can be customized such that these two inputs are displayed in a variety of ways, including both at the same time with tags or the result of math functions performed on one or both of the inputs.
