These Sun Hoods are designed to improve display readability for explosion-proof instruments and housings. By shielding the display/glass from direct sunlight, they reduce glare and improve visibility of critical process information.

Constructed from 18-gauge 316 stainless steel, the sun hood is built to withstand harsh conditions, including moisture, corrosion, and extreme temperatures. It mounts directly to the enclosure using the existing mounting flange holes, providing a secure, precise fit with no modification required.

With the sun hood installed, the instrument/housing can be wall-mounted or pipe-mounted using compatible mounting kits (sold separately). The sun hood is formed to avoid obstructing conduit openings and to maintain clear visibility of the side label galleries, ensuring approvals markings and critical product information remain fully accessible.
