Precision Digital Products by Application

Large Display Panel Meters

Level

Level is one of the most common applications for Precision Digital products and we offer a wide variety of products to satisfy just about any level display and control application you might have. Our products can power the level transmitter, be scaled in any engineering unit and linearized for non-linear shaped tanks, control pumps and valves with up to four relays, connect to a computer, and output a 4-20 mA signal. In addition these meters are available in a wide variety of enclosures ranging from panel mount to NEMA 4X to explosion-proof and carry approvals such as FM, CSA, and UL.
Pump Control Products

Pump Control

With Precision Digital's meters, you can configure simple on/off pump control, multiple speed pumping, cascade pumping, and/or pump alternation. Backup pumps on lift stations can be controlled by level limits or inlet flow rates. Variable speed pump output (4-20 mA, reverse or direct acting) can be custom scaled for level or flow rate. On the ProVu, up to 8 relays can be used. Irregular shaped sumps can be linearized using the ProVu's 32-point linearization.
Field Mounted Products

Temperature

Precision Digital offers a wide variety of meters, indicators, controllers, and transmitters to satisfy just about any temperature application. Our Trident line of digital panel meters can be set up in the field for thermocouple or RTD inputs. Our Nova line of PID temperature controllers are high accuracy, full-featured controllers available in ramp & soak, programmable, and limit controller configurations. One particularly useful feature of the Fluidwell F-Series temperature indicators is that they can be battery powered. All of these products can be equipped with a 4-20 mA output; resulting in a temperature transmitter.
Pressure

Pressure

Precision Digital offers digital pressure gauges that will take a direct pressure input as well as digital meters that will accept the voltage or current output from a pressure transducer or transmitter. The digital pressure gauges are available in Precision Test, Industrial and General Purpose versions. They can be battery, loop or DC powered and have relays and analog outputs. The digital meters will provide the power to drive the transmitter or transducer and can be field calibrated for display in engineering units. They are available in panel, NEMA 4X and explosion-proof configurations.
PD6000 ProVu

Flow

Precision Digital offers a wide variety of flow rate indicators, totalizers, and flow computers to help you satisfy just about any flow application. These instruments will accept analog or pulse inputs and provide power to drive the flow meter. They can be powered from AC, DC, loop or battery and are available in panel, NEMA 4X, and explosion-proof enclosures. With all of these features and the various agency approvals available, you're sure to find just what you are looking for.
PD6000 ProVu

Open Channel Flow

Precision Digital's analog input Rate/Totalizers, in combination with an ultrasonic level transmitter, provides an economical way to measure and display open channel flow rate and total in most weirs and flumes. All the user needs to do is enter the exponent for the weir or flume into Precision Digital's analog input rate/totalizers, which would then automatically raise the input signal to that exponent power. One product, the PD6200, also has a "sampling" function. This can be configured to trigger the taking of periodic samples. Sampling can be based on the total flow or the flow rate.
Hazardous Area

Hazardous Area

Hazardous areas requiring specialized explosion-proof or intrinsically safe equipment require product approvals from various agencies depending on your location. Whatever your agency preference, Precision Digital offers products with FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEX approvals for hazardous areas for applications covering the full range of process and temperature possibilities.

Speed

RPM meters and counters provide pulse outputs that can be read and scaled by these devices to read engineering units on the display. Pulse or Square wave inputs are available as open collector, switch, 0-5 V, 0-12 V, or 0-24 V @ 30 kHz. High voltage DC inputs of 0-300 VDC are also available for reading VFD or other motor control signals. Analog and relay outputs are available for process monitoring and control as well as dual-line displays and multiple input devices.
Mass/Strain Gauge

Weight

Strain gauge meters are used to measure weight, mass, force, or deflection when directly connected to a strain gauge. All common strain gauge inputs can be used including 0-30 mV, 0-200 mV, ± 15 mV and ± 100 mV These units provide the 5, 10, or 24 volt excitation for the strain gauge and scale the reading to display engineering units. Analog and relay outputs are also available for process monitoring and control.
Discrete Alarm Monitoring

Discrete Alarm Monitoring

Precision Digital's annunciators can be used anywhere discrete point monitoring is needed, from temperature alarms to ultrasonic level switches. They can be programmed for all the common ISA alarm sequences, accept switch, transistor, and logic level inputs, and can be supplied with free custom printed message labels. A built-in horn provides audible indication of alarm condition and up to two relays can be used to control external devices such as beacons, horns, or buzzers.
Remote Modbus Display

Remote Modbus Display

Modbus displays provide local indication for Modbus serial output sensors as well as panel indication for Modbus networks. The PD865 Snooper is a digital panel meter that can be programmed as a Modbus RTU Master, Slave, or Snooper. In Snooper mode, the Snooper can sit anywhere on the Modbus network and display any process variable on the bus. The Snooper can be equipped with a 4-20 mA output option which will convert the serial input to an isolated 4-20 mA output.
Calibration

Calibration

Precision calibrators are finally down to a price level that one can reconsider performing calibration services in-house. A precision calibrator sources voltage, current, TC, RTD, and ohms with a second completely isolated measurement channel. Precision Digital offers a universal calibrator for a single laboratory calibration instrument unmatched in versatility, performance, and value. Our calibrator's world-class performance and features are accessed through a very simple-to-use, intuitive user interface., and is truly a "process calibration laboratory in a box."
