Level is one of the most common applications for Precision Digital products and we offer a wide variety of products to satisfy just about any level display and control application you might have. Our products can power the level transmitter, be scaled in any engineering unit and linearized for non-linear shaped tanks, control pumps and valves with up to four relays, connect to a computer, and output a 4-20 mA signal. In addition these meters are available in a wide variety of enclosures ranging from panel mount to NEMA 4X to explosion-proof and carry approvals such as FM, CSA, and UL.
The PD650 monitors and controls the boiler drum level and displays it on a large, easy to read digital display that can be seen at great distances.

Pump Alternation Control
Precision Digital products are used in many applications for pump control because they are simple to use, provide local display of level, power the transmitter, and can be used for pump alternation. Many Precision Digital products can have up to four relays, (the ProVucan have eight!) so at least two can be used to control the pumps and two can be used for high and low alarm. The pump alternation feature is particularly useful because it extends the life of the pump and reduces maintenance costs.

Relay #4 turns the main pump on at 6000 gallons and turns it off at 1000 gallons.
With the Pump Alternation feature activated, the next time the level reaches 6000 gallons, relay #3 transfers and starts the backup pump.
If the backup pump is not able to keep up, and the level reaches 7000 gallons, relay #4 transfers and starts the main pump as well.
Relay #2 trips the High Level Alarm at 7500 gallons and resets at 6900 gallons.
Relay #1 trips the Low Level Alarm at 495 gallons and resets at 750 gallons.

Tank Farm Level Monitoring
Precision Digital products can display and control level in multiple tanks in one central location. This can be done using individual digital displays or one ConsoliDator. The advantageof the ConsoliDator is that it provides much more information about the tanks than individual displays can. For instance, the ConsoliDator provides both a bargraph and a numeric display of tank level.

Precision Digital's model PD690 digital process meter powers and displays the 4-20 mA output from the Solartron level transmitter. The PD690's multi-point inearization feature provides a display in volume from these round horizontal tanks. An optional NEMA 4X enclosure provides protection from the elements and a convenient way to mount the meters on the wall.
Volume for Non-Linear Tanks
Precision Digital has products that can display volume in just about any shape tank. These products include Precision Digital meters, Fluidwell products and the ConsoliDator. All of these products allow the user to enter multiple calibration points to linearize the non-linear aspect of the tank. In addition, these products can provide relays for control and alarm purposes, power to the transmitter, and linear 4-20 mA output.

Fluidwell provides a wide variety of products for level display and control. These products range from the basic F070 linear level indicator with its 1 inch high digits to the sophisticated F173 for non-linear tanks. The F173 (pictured here) can provide up to 15 points of linearization, four alarm outputs, a linear analog output an serial communications. Like all Fluidwell products, it can be housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure and loop, AC or DC powered. Products: Fluidwell level products
Local Level Display & Remote PC Monitoring
Say you have an application where you want to display the level from 6 tanks right out at the tank farm and also display the data and collect it on your computer back in your office. You can do this with Precision Digital's Trident meter and MeterView® software. We can provide the enclosure and the engraved labels so you have everything you need.! MeterView software even allows you to remotely acknowledge relays.

Precision Digital's model PD656 Explosion-proof meter is powering the level transmitter and displaying its output on an easy to ready 0.8" high LED display. The PD656 can be equipped with up to four relays that feature 0-100% deadband and pump alternation capability.

The top Snooper is displaying product level and it is set up as a master device to the level transmitter’s slave device. The next two Snoopers are set up in Snooper mode and they are displaying interface and product temperature. Each Snooper’s two relays are connected to the PD158 annunciator to indicate alarm conditions.
The Vigilante® II annunciators are compact, panel-space saving, easy to use annunciators available in models to handle either four or eight level switches. Each switch can have its own custom message, such as "Tank One High Alarm", on the Vigilante. When a level switch trips, the LED for that input flashes, a horn sounds and a relay transfers. The Vigilante annunciator can even indicate which switch tripped first.
