Digital panel meters (DPMs) continue to evolve even now, more than 35 years after the first analog to digital converters (ADCs) enabled the conversion from galvanometer-type analog meters. A digital panel meter brings increased readability, eliminates hysteresis error, and greatly increases reliability and accuracy. Today, new technology allows for two very readable lines of LED display, sunlight readable LEDs, increased power efficiency, multiple colored LEDs, significantly more powerful features and functions, and improved digital communications. Today's digital panel meters are simply sophisticated and easier to program/configure, like Precision Digital's ProVu series.
The PD6000 digital panel meter is a full-featured, high end, digital process meter that represents the continuum of 34 years of development by Precision Digital Corporation. The most noticeable feature of the ProVu is its dual-line, 6-digit display that not only provides more data to the user, but makes it much easier to program than single line displays. Other key features include NEMA 4X front, 24 V transmitter power supply and 32-point linearization. Options include 2 or 4 relays and 4-20 mA output, expansion modules for 4 more relays, digital I/O, and serial communications, and DC power.
The PD6060 dual-line digital panel meter is a full-featured, high end, digital process meter with math capability. It shares all the great features of the ProVu series. In addition, it can be used as a dual-channel meter, or programmed to calculate a third variable using the dual input values. The PD6060 is one of the Precision Digital's most powerful members of our 1/8 DIN meter family. Other key features include NEMA 4X front, 24 V transmitter power supply and 32-point linearization. Options include 2 or 4 relays and 4-20 mA output, expansion modules for 4 more relays, digital I/O, and serial communications, and DC power.
The PD6200 digital panel meter is specifically designed for displaying flow rate and total from a flow meter with an analog output such as 4-20 mA or 0-10 V. The PD6200 is particularly well-suited for flow applications because its six-digit, dual-line display can be programmed for a wide variety of display configurations. For instance, the upper line can display either flow rate, total or grand total, and the lower line can display either flow rate, total, grand total, or engineering units. Among other things, this makes it possible to display flow rate and total at the same time, a very unique feature on 1/8 DIN digital meters.
The PD6210 shares some great features common to the ProVu series. With a variety of analog inputs, it offers single and multi-stage batch control with preclose relays, intuitive front panel, and simple menu navigation. The PD6210 has excellent but simple batch control capabilities. The preclose deactivates the relay before the batch is finished, to allow slower fill rates and a more accurate batch finish. With expansion module relays, up to eight-stage batching is possible. Each additional stage-batching relay has an individually programmable preclose amount. Automatic overrun correction keeps the batch size accurate, even over time and with system wear.
The PD6300 is specifically designed for displaying flow rate and total from a pulsed input provided by open collector, NPN, PNP, TTL, switch contact, sine wave, or square wave. The PD6300 is particularly well-suited for flow applications because its six-digit, dual-line display can be programmed for a wide variety of display configurations. For instance, the upper line can display either flow rate, total or grand total, and the lower line can display either flow rate, total, grand total, or engineering units. Among other things, this makes it possible to display flow rate and total, or total and grand total at the same time, a very unique feature on 1/8 DIN digital meters.

The PD7000 boasts specifications and functionality that clearly makes it one of the most advanced temperature meters available. Its dual-line 6-character display, function keys, and optional expansion modules are only a few of the special features available on the ProVu. The PD7000 accepts many more thermocouple types and RTDs than earlier models. It can be configured to have either a 1° or 0.1° display resolution on any type of sensor input. The lower display makes configuration simpler. The display itself is quite configurable. There are many relay functions for up to 8 relays; including an Interlock Relay function. The 4-20 mA output can represent up to 12 different parameters/variables. This makes the PD7000 one of the most versatile meters on the market.
The PD765 Trident digital panel meter is one of the most versatile meters on the market and will satisfy a wide variety of process applications. The Trident can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc) and current (4-20 mA) inputs, 100 Ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples. It is housed in a shallow-depth, 1/8 DIN enclosure that features a NEMA 4X front panel and convenient mounting hardware. There are two power options for the Trident: 85 to 265 VAC or 12-36 VDC and it can provide 24 VDC to power the transmitter if needed. Programming and setup can be performed with the four front panel pushbuttons, free MeterView software, or using the Copy function.
The display height on the standard Trident meter is 0.56" (14.2 mm) and on the Trident X2 the supersized display height is an astounding 1.2" (30.5 mm). The Trident X2 can be read easily from distances of up to 30 feet! Both meters are available with all Trident features. The intensity of the display on both versions of the Trident can be adjusted to compensate for various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight.
Look to the Sabre T temperature meter for the key features you want and don't worry about getting bogged down in a confusing array of things you don't need. The Sabre T provides all the utility needed to handle your application with accuracy and simplicity. The Sabre T temperature meter is easily programmed using the four front panel buttons. There is only one switch on the entire meter, there are no jumpers, and no need to ever open the case.
Look to the Sabre P process meter for the key features you want and don't worry about getting bogged down in a confusing array of things you don't need. The Sabre P provides all the utility needed to handle your application with accuracy and simplicity. The Sabre P process meter is easily programmed using the four front panel buttons. There are no jumpers or switches to configure and there is no need to ever open the case.
Expand the capability of other Modbus RTU serial devices with the new PD865 Snooper. It has a 6-digit sunlight readable display and may be set up as a master or slave. The PD865 comes with RS-485 communications, two relays standard, and up to four relays plus one 4-20 mA output.
Now, in addition to functioning as a Master or Slave device, the PD865 Modbus Serial Input Meter can function in Snooper mode. After some simple configuration a PD865 can be placed in Snooper mode where it is neither a Master nor a Slave. In this mode, the Snooper “listens” to Modbus traffic and “grabs” the data associated with a specific Modbus address and register number. It does this without detection by, or interfering with, the master or slaves on the network.
The Javelin Max/Min function, two relays, and serial communication options provide all the utility you need to handle all the common applications.
The Javelin D is easy to set up and program because everything is done using the simple four-button programming method. There are no jumpers, and no need to ever open the case. After completing setup of one meter, additional meters can be "cloned" using the time-saving Copy function.
