Precision Digital's serial adapters are designed to work with its line of Trident digital panel meters. These adapters are available for RS-232 and RS-422/485 applications and can connect to the Trident via the standard Precision Digital serial protocol, optional Modbus protocol or via a free LabView driver.

One very important feature of these adapters is that they are external devices, so one adapter can be used to program as many Tridents from a computer as desired.

The PDA7488 is an adapter board for serial connection of up to 6 Trident meters. It is particularly useful for data acquisition applications as it simplifies wiring.

Precision Digital also offers serial converters to convert RS-232 and USB to RS-422/485. These converters are available in both isolated and non-isolated versions and will work with any serial device, such as Nova controllers, Fluidwell flow computers, ConsoliDators or any other device with a serial port.

Precision Digital provides a free software utility called MeterView which allows the Trident to be programmed from a computer and also collect data.

PDA7232 Trident RS-232 Adapter

The PDA7232 converts the serial output of the PD765 Trident meter to an unbalanced, full-duplex RS-232 signal. Since it is an external device, one PDA7232 in conjunction with free MeterView software can be used to program and calibrate an infinite number of Trident meters

PDA7420 Trident Meter Copy Cable

The PDA7420 Trident meter copy cable connects two Trident meters together so the programming from one Trident can be copied to the other. No additional serial adapters are required.

Cable: 7' (2.1 m) standard modular cable provided with PDA7232 and PDA7422 adapters.
Status Indication: Separate LEDs for power (P), transmit (TX), and receive (RX)

PDA7422 Trident RS-422/485 Adapter

The PDA7422 converts the serial output of the PD765 Trident meter to balanced, full or half-duplex RS-422 or RS-485 signals.

Compatibility: EIA-422 and EIA-485
Connectors: Removable screw terminal connector and RJ11
Distance: Adapter to PD765 meter: 7' (2.1 m) max; Adapter to computer: 3,937' (1,200 m) max

PDA7485 RS-232 to RS-485 Converter

The PDA7485 converts unbalanced, full-duplex RS-232 signals to balanced, full or half-duplex RS-422 or RS-485 signals. It is available in isolated and non-isolated versions.

PDA7488 Trident RS-232 & RS-485 Isolated Multi-Input Adapter Board

The PDA7488 converts the serial output from up to six PD765 Trident meters to either an unbalanced, full-duplex RS-232 signal or balanced, full or half duplex RS-422 or RS-485 signals (but not for use at the same time).
