PD865 Application Note: Modbus Multivariable Transmitter Display and Alarming Systems |
Precision Digital’s model PD865 Snooper Modbus serial input meter is great for displaying important process variables from multivariable transmitters. In the system pictured below, three Snoopers are being used to display Level, Interface, and Temperature from a multivariable level transmitter. The Snoopers are mounted in a NEMA 4X enclosure, provided by Precision Digital, and are connected to a Precision Digital PD158 Vigilante II annunciator which provides alarm indication based on the relays in the Snoopers. The great thing about this system is everything is digital so the displays read exactly what is being measured and there is no need to ever calibrate the meters.
